We hold an informal monthly regional meeting in the North Lakes on the 2nd Wednesday of the month at 7.30pm, at
Derwent Lodge Hotel , Embleton, Cockermouth, CA13 9YA

Wednesday 24th January
Centre Gravity Talk and Demo :: Regional Event ::
This saw the demonstration and Technical talk on the effects of correct suspension geometry by Centre Gravity owner Chris Franklin. Nearly 30 members attended the event and were shown the effects poor suspension geometry could have on tyre wear as well as the handling of the car. Steve and Sue Cooper’s Griffith 500 was put on Chris’s race flat for all to examine, and we did! Although a late start meant a later finish and it was cold outside, I think we all came away with a bit more knowledge and the feeling that we should at least get our cars checked. Wednesday 10th January
Monthly Meeting :: Regional Event ::
An excellent turnout with twenty brave souls ignoring the torrential rain & high winds, 4 in TVR’s. As expected the most part of the meeting was given over to looking at the Year Planner for 2007. I had prepared a calendar outlining; meeting dates, National Events, major Regional Events from other regions, dates for Cumbria’s regular events and events previously discussed and agreed upon. Friday 1st December
Christmas Dinner :: Regional Event ::
Our annual Christmas Bash, this year at Garstang Country Hotel. I firmly believe that Pietro set an earlier, 6pm, report deadline this month to prevent me sending in any incriminating photos prior to midnight so photographic evidence will have to wait for the February edition.

Monthly Meeting :: Regional Event ::
Our monthly meet took the form of an excellent quiz night which was enjoyed by all. On the winning team were Sue & Steve Cooper and …… me. They answered the questions & I wrote them down! My thanks to Val and Les for an excellent quiz.
